Hi,
	Best to get in contact with the author of the patches to ensure you can
get a proper fix. Also what hardware do you have?
	
	Apparently (I assume) this is not for all via sound chips so it's best
to expalin what your setup is. The output from lspci does not tell the
story on the codec at times. The best output is
from /proc/asound/card0/codec#0
